Hand Trolley Racing

Put together a team and join the fun!
Gather up to four friends, family members or workmates and race a hand trolley down the railway track, the old-fashioned way, powered entirely by people!

Locals, visitors and businesses are all invited to take part. Race for glory, cheer on your favourites and enjoy the lively atmosphere while supporting two great causes: Ōamaru Steam and Rail and the Ōamaru Heritage Celebrations.

This is a fundraising event, so we welcome donations from race participants ($30 per team of 4).
Location: Racing will be at the Railway Workshop, behind Steampunk HQ, 1B Humber St
