Update 8/7/2020

AGM for the new committee was held on Tuesday 16th June and now the new committee is ready to get organising for Oamaru Victorian Heritage Celebrations 2020.

Many thanks to Jen Howden and Trevor Holdstock who have now left the committee. Jen has been a long standing member of the committee and with her husband Jim will continue to run the Friday night ball through Heritage Dance. 

Planning for events has started and our Coordinator Anisha Lee collating information on associated events in the community. This years theme is Victorian Literature, celebrating the local library service in Oamaru. Due to Covid-19 the Celebrations may look a bit different this year with some events removed and others changed.

Oamaru Victorian Heritage Celebrations AGM

The current committee agreed in a meeting last night that Oamaru Victorian Heritage Celebrations 2020 will go ahead, however it will be a pared down version. Some events may not be able to occur due to the government regulations and others may need to change format. The committee are working through which events will be possible within the current climate.

Update 24-3-2020


Unfortunately due to the government requirement for all to self-isolate due to COVID-19 we have had to postpone our AGM for 2020 indefinitely.

When these restrictions are lifted we will reschedule and advertise the new time.
